I don’t want to drone on about 2020 so let’s take a minute or two to have a break! Sportscar Sunday (SCS)is an event I have been looking forward to for months, so it was exciting to get out of bed early on a Sunday morning, head along, look at and talk cars! The fact many car events have been cancelled recently just added to the excitement.

First and foremost I want to acknowledge all the volunteers and supporters who donate their time and energy into making events like this happen. It is easy to think that all you have to do is make a Facebook event and that is all but there is much more that goes on behind the scenes so thank you.

Golden light punctuated the trees whilst the sound of V12s punctuated the morning silence.

Back to the event and it was an early-ish roll in as cars started filling up the dedicated car park, different marquees and genres were designated different areas so you would knew you be parking with similar cars. I am going to present the event as a bit of a gallery with a few of the cars that stood out to me, there’s not much I can add to these cars!

There were a lot of ‘exotics’ on show but as always yours truly was drawn to the ‘exotics’ from the land of the rising sun…
I was standing & talking to mates as a a lovely display of cars rolled past, pretty good ey!
Some nice plates on display too.
American muscle, a rare sight here in Australia!
As always, the Porsche contingent were in full force.
2J!

After spending time watching the cars roll in I moved to the displays proper! It was good to see supporters of the event bring some new and old models out to display.

One of the cars displayed by Richmonds – an absolutely classic Lamborghini! You might remember this particular car when it is was black…
Analogue as they say…
It is a beautiful green, easy to see why the owner chose it.
Maybe the newer models are more your taste?!
Face off!
A beautiful wheel/colour combination in my opinion…
A big line up!
A future classic…
Ever wanted to see the engine in an R8? Well you would have to look in the back! The front was interesting though…
I finished the morning off with a drive up through the Adelaide Hills. I know others did as I saw them!

Stay tuned for the next one, most likely early next year!
