Initially I wasn’t even sure if I would be heading to Cars & Coffee October, let alone writing about it but in the end I am glad I did!

With events like this you never know what is going to turn up so they can be a bit hit and miss depending on who you ask. Today there was a strong turn out and as with Cars & Coffee Unley it was a diverse crowd, which always makes it interesting… I am just going to let the pictures do the majority of the talking but I will add one point. It was nice to just head along talk to enthusiasts and catch up with mates you otherwise wouldn’t see. Some people begrudge events like this where driving itself doesn’t happen (there is nothing stopping you from heading out before or after) but I think they are definitely a valuable part of the culture.

This Superlite had a crowd around it all morning, the owner was answering plenty of questions and had flipped the rear engine open to display what looked like a LS V8.
Not quite just an engine and a steering wheel but close!
The 996 isn’t my favourite Porsche ever but this model in a beautiful dark blue really caught my attention.
Being the first of the GT3s I am sure they will be a classic. As I always say to my mates, arrive at any car event in a car like this, as well kept as it was and any enthusiast should appreciate the car!
This might look like stock as a rock B4….
And it is! But the story that goes with it is what makes it special.
The previous owner was a 78 year old gentleman who wore socks when he drove it as not to wear anything out prematurely. It was in fantastic condition and the kind of purchase any enthusiast dreams of!
I am not a WRX aficionado but as soon as you see 2 doors you know it is something special! This was a version 5 STI I believe……?!
It was actually parked next to my mate’s Evo you see here, talk about an iconic duo!
Said Evo….
2PJZ’s Evo wasn’t the only Tommi Makinen there…
This was serious piece of kit, clearly built for motorsport events.
Featuring matching trailer…
A bit of Aussie muscle never hurts…
Talking about Aassie Muscle, this VL Turbo definitely had the muscle side covered…
: O
This 180SX had an S14 front and R34 GTR wheels, all combined with a bright paint job, nice to see something different.
Just like the 996 GT3 earlier, these E46 M3s are a car any real car enthusiast could appreciate. This particular model had upgraded brakes as well.
A new Tesla Model 3, the acceleration on this thing was phenomenal, I have no doubt it would dispatch 99% of cars on the road…
Have to love a clean Skyline…
Please return your trolley here…
I’ve seen this 35 a few times now, clean with Advan wheels, always worth a look!
This 32 GTR arrived late in the morning as I was about to head off.
A V Spec 2 going by the decals, wheels, etc.
The owner popped the bonnet, I might be biased but it is always nice seeing an RB26. There was a recently fitted Nismo intercooler by the looks, not to mention some very chunky Dunlop semi slicks if my memory doesn’t let me down haha
See you next month!
