You might not have heard of Sam Fane or ‘Seen Through Glass’ as he goes by for his vlog (yes another ‘vlogger’ we know…. but at least Sam seems slightly more humble and entertaining than a lot of the others!). Anyway, he was recently at Richmond’s Automotive for the Adelaide leg of his ‘Drive The World’ adventure! If you are not aware and can’t guess from the name, he plans to drive around the world through some 35 countries this year (more information on his site here) and he started the adventure from Brisbane, heading down the east coast before eventually ending up here in Adelaide.

Richmond’s held an event free to car enthusiasts, where the general public could meet Sam, ogle over some of the cars in their inventory and just generally have a good time. I went along to do exactly that and here are some of the highlights from the evening.

Arriving at Richmonds Sam’s chariot for the year was there for all to see, European number plates, extra luggage compartment and all!
Anyone who has done the road trip between Adelaide and the East coast will know exactly what this image is all about!
There were some stunning cars that came along for the evening!
I got distracted by some of the JDM cars in attendance, a modern classic no doubt!
If you have never been to Richmonds it is worth a look! A range of stunning vehicles, in a lovely converted warehouse with racing footage streaming across the walls! What more could one want? Well the complimentary food and drink was also a generous touch!
Another big draw-card for the night was the ability to get up close and personal with the new Brabham BT62.
Truly menacing… it will be fantastic to see more of these out on racetracks (& roads?!) soon!
At one stage Sam gave a little speech and answered some questions from the crowd, all in all he spoke well and kept everyone entertained.
Admittedly, it was hard to concentrate when there were some iconic cars around, if you could chose one which would you take?

This Zed looked amazing!

It seemed as if there was a vehicle for everyone’s taste!
Some big dollar machinery (& licence plates!)

It is functional! If you had to put all your required items for a year on the road into a car like a Porsche no doubt the extra cargo room would be much appreciated!
Maybe something more European would be on the top of your list?
These two Porsches (one appearing to be a serious RUF build) had all the signs of being driven regularly and hard! Approve!
This photo reveals a few things, one check out the angle of the speed gauge and two this is why you use a polarizer on your camera to remove glare!

Some JDM icons lurking in the car-park area, surely these two will be future classics, which would you take?

From here Sam headed across the Nullarbor to Perth before his car gets shipped back to Europe and Sean continues onto New Zealand, travel along with him through all the regular social media channels!
